v2026.11.05 — 5 November 2026 · Saves reach the server again
Saving outside a live session works again. Since 22 October, a board edited outside a live session never reached the server. Before each save, WeDraw asks the server for its copy of the board so it can merge in changes made elsewhere, and that request asked the wrong table. The server refused it, so the save never went out. The work was kept in the browser that made it, and a warning said the save had failed. Live se…
v2026.11.02 — 2 November 2026 · Board addresses, menus that fit, undo while live
The address bar names what's open: - Every board and doc has its own address, ending in ?board= and the board's id: the same link Share › Copy link makes. Copy it from the address bar to share the board. The person still needs access, and someone signed out is asked to sign in first. Home is the plain address. - A reload stays on the board you were on, in each tab. Before, every tab…
v2026.10.30 — 30 October 2026 · Getting started
Getting started on Home: - "Draw three shapes" now ticks. Shapes you draw on any board count, however you add them; opening a sample board or a template doesn't. Before, it ticked only if the board behind Home happened to hold three shapes when Home opened, so for most people it never did. - It's a card now, not a block at the top of Home. It floats in the corner…
v2026.10.29 — 29 October 2026 · Account security, backups and restore, security round 4
Account security in the browser: - A second step that holds the sign-in. An account with an authenticator app or a security key stays signed out until the second step passes: a code from the app, the security key, or a recovery code. A held sign-in lasts ten minutes, and if the second step can't be checked the sign-in doesn't finish. - Sign in with an emailed code ("Email me a sign-in code"). The answer never…
v2026.10.24 — 24 October 2026 · Home, databases v2, security rounds 2 and 3
Home starts from what you want to make, not a prompt. WeDraw is free and has no built-in AI (people bring their own through MCP), so Home now opens on: - Doc, Board and More (Doc + board, From a template, Import, Database). - Nine one-click jobs: a spec, a BPMN process, an ERD, a project plan, a brainstorm, meeting notes, C4 or ArchiMate architecture, a flowchart, today's note — each opens its template with the not…
v2026.10.23 — 23 October 2026 · Databases in docs
Databases (NTS-016; the design and the owner's decisions are in docs/DATABASES-DESIGN.md). - A database block ("/" › Database) or a full-page database (Home › New database): rows with typed properties (title, text, number, select, multi-select, status, date, person, checkbox, URL). - Views: a table you edit in place, a board with columns from a select…
v2026.10.22.2 — 22 October 2026 · Docs, the Notes round
WeDraw Docs against note apps (OneNote, Notion, Obsidian, UpNote and twelve more): the twenty gaps the owner kept are closed. The decisions and what is left for later are in docs/NOTES-GAPS.md. New blocks - Code with a language picker and colours as you type. - Math: $…$ in a sentence and equation blocks, drawn without a library.…
v2026.10.22 — 22 October 2026 · Wave 3
Gap-closing, wave 3 (integrations and API, accounts and security, business, platform and reach; the full list is in docs/GAP-REGISTER.md). The live server also catches up with Wave 2 today: its database changes (049–052) are applied, and the server image carries the two modules Wave 2's deploy was missing. Integrations and API - A public REST API: personal, workspace and app tokens with scopes, OAuth…
v2026.10.19.2 — 19 October 2026 · Wave 2
Gap-closing, wave 2 (notations, infrastructure and data, collaboration, docs and planning, shapes and templates; the full list is in docs/GAP-REGISTER.md) BPMN, DMN, CMMN, UML and ERD - BPMN goes deeper: documentation, Camunda/Zeebe and Flowable execution properties, element templates, global messages, signals, errors and…
v2026.10.19 — 19 October 2026
Gap-closing, wave 1 (every capability the competitor audit found missing in five areas; the full list is in docs/GAP-REGISTER.md) Canvas and editing - Shapes turn and change look: rotate freely or by angle, flip, opacity, corner radius, gradient and pattern fills, drop shadows, a sketchy style. - Rich text in labels: mixed bold, italic, colour and highlight per word,…
v2026.10.18 — 18 October 2026
Diagramming that knows the notation - Next shape at the handle: clicking a selected shape's side handle offers the four shapes that make sense next in that notation. - Coverage: BPMN, flowchart, UML, ERD, DMN, CMMN, C4, DFD, SysML, ArchiMate, network, org charts, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Kubernetes. - The first choice is what the click used to grow.…
v2026.10.11 — 11 October 2026
Collaboration - The live relay became its own service. - Boards stream over one socket each, and every snapshot is read as the person receiving it. - Sessions reconnect on their own when a sign-in token renews. - Images on server-held boards go to an image store, and the board keeps a link. - In-app notifications:…
v2026.10.03 — 3 October 2026
- Forgotten passwords can be reset from the app. - A Members page: change roles, remove people and revoke invites, with the server enforcing who may. - A gentle reminder to sign in after a few minutes of sketching signed out. - Boards get server ids, so they reach the backend. Boards that live only on the server appear in the switcher.…
v2026.09.08 — 8 September 2026
The hosted app - Deployed at wedraw.transcure.net. - Workspaces with provisioning and invites. - A real in-app sign-in, and anonymous local sketching for visitors. - Backend hardening after two security audits, with parity tests between the browser and the server rules. Shapes and notations…
